Meet Andrew McGlothlin aka “McG”
Andrew is a dedicated independent college counselor and test prep guru, working one-on-one with families to help them navigate the often-confusing and often-stressful world of college admissions. He calls upon his 20+ years of working with families and students to help his students present their best versions of themselves to the right schools in order to find the right fit. He is also a member of IECA (Independent Education Consultants), a leading trade organization.
Andrew has also been a premier SAT and ACT tutor since 2001 and is a nationally recognized test prep expert who has helped thousands of students do their best on the SAT, ACT, AP exams, ISEE, and numerous grad school entrance examinations. He advises students on how best to use (or not use) these tests to increase their chances with selective and test-required institutions, and personally tutors many of them for the SAT and ACT tests.
Andrew also teaches at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, where he heads up the AP Capstone department and teaches US history within the prestigious French BFI program.
As a long-suffering Cleveland sports fan he knows a thing or two about dealing with disappointment. In his spare time you can probably find him jumping rope, mixing up a new kombucha recipe, or hanging with his four boys.
